What is Pick to Light?
Pick to Light is a light-directed order picking system that guides warehouse operators using LED indicators mounted directly on racks, carts or floors. No scanning, no paper. We have been developing the system – hardware and software – ourselves since 2018.
Developing Pick to Light since 2018
We started developing our own Pick to Light system – hardware and software – in 2018. Today it runs in automotive production and logistics, for example at Witte Automotive, Škoda Auto and Johnson Controls, and in the Zuty e-commerce warehouse.

WMS/ERP sends order
Your warehouse management system sends a picking instruction to the P2L controller.
LED lights up
The LED indicator at the correct location lights up showing the quantity to pick.
Operator confirms
Picker takes the items and presses the confirmation button. The LED goes off.
Completion confirmed
The system records the pick and sends confirmation back to WMS/ERP in real time.
How can picking or putaway be confirmed?
Depending on the process and workstation, confirmation can be done fully hands-free, by button, or directly in the client application. We choose the method according to speed, ergonomics, and the level of control you need.
Hand-crossing sensor
An optical sensor confirms the action the moment the operator reaches into the location. Ideal where speed matters and you want the fewest extra movements.
Button on PUM-A
A physical button directly on the module gives the operator clear control over confirmation. Suitable for processes where an explicit user action is required.
Confirmation in the client application
Confirmation can also happen in the operator app or terminal, for example for supervisory workflows, exceptions, batch operations, or combined processes.
